Across the Forth Valley, there are already many fantastic groups, projects and individuals looking after nature and biodiversity, with community gardens, wildlife surveys and habitat restoration projects happening all over the region.

To celebrate, we’re helping Forth Environment Link run the Forth Valley Biodiversity Festival, which is a month-long programme happening this August which aims to support existing efforts and bring these groups together under a shared festival banner. August is the perfect time to run the first year of this festival, as pollinators, butterflies, dragonflies, bats and wildflowers will all be out on display!

Your Green & Blue Space will be running a Bioblitz with 3 lovely opportunities for you to discover the amazing wildlife on our campus! Whether you’re new to nature or a seasoned spotter, everyone is welcome. Take part in one or more of our guided wildlife walks, learn how to identify local species, and help record campus biodiversity. You can also join our community litter pick in each walk to help keep our campus clean for both people and wildlife.

Schedule: All walks start and finish in the Atrium Bioblitz Stall in the Atrium.

– 11:00am–1:00pm – Bird ID Walk & Litter pick

– 1:00pm–3:00pm – Wildflower ID Walk & Litter pick

 – 3:00pm–5:00pm – Fungi ID Walk & Litter pick

Come along to explore, learn, and help protect our campus biodiversity!

There's loads of other events that you can take part in throughout the month. Check the full schedule in the Forth Environment Link's website!
