Freshers 2021: Sustainability @ Stirling Day

Thursday 16 September 2021 10am - 4pm

Lochside Marquee

Sustainability is at the core of what we do as Your Students' Union - did you know we were the first carbon neutral students' union in the UK?

We know how important looking after the planet is to our students, so we're filling the Lochside Marquee with info on our sustainability projects. The Green & Blue SpaceUnion Community Garden, eco-friendly period products, sustainable lifestyle kits for you to grab and more. Plus seed-bomb and eco-jewellery making workshops will be running throughout the day!

This will be alongside the Thrift Fayre where you can pick up a bargain - items have been donated by previous students rather than going to landfill. We continue this work in our Fair Share within the Green & Blue Space throughout the year.

We have a quiet hour at our events from 10am - 11am for those who prefer or require a quieter experience. No music will be played and stall holders will be asked to respect a lower volume level.

Safety advice: We ask that you wear a mask whilst inside the marquee and hand sanitiser will be provided. If there are further safety precautions they will be clearly advertised here and around the event space.

*All Union events are subject to change or cancellation and we continue to work closely with the University of Stirling and Scottish Government advice to ensure everything we do is safe for our students. Some events are also weather-dependent and may be cancelled or changed last minute. We will communicate any changes on this website and our social media channels.
