The Ski Trip

Need I say more? If you insist! You know the score, we run Stirling’s take on the infamous University ski trip, you’ll have heard about it, you’ll have seen it online but you don’t truly appreciate the uni trip experience until you’ve been on one! This year we’re throwing what can only be described as a complete resort takeover with more than 5 universities taking over 600 students out to resort for the first week of January! You book on and we’ll sort the rest, from a packed schedule both day and night for you to get involved in if you wish, to heaps of exclusive discounts for trip-goers from our amazing partners! No need to be a member or even attend the university for that matter, got mates from home who want to take advantage of the uni trip price and perks? Bring them along! Members do get the advantage of attending all our socials in the first semester to get to know loads of friends who will be out in resort with them, but don’t worry we make sure to throw a whole host of pre-trip events so you feel both ready and excited for the best week of the year!

This year there is three sales windows, first release drops an insanely limited number of places for the keenest of the keen to pick up on 07/08/26 from our Instagram, but don’t worry second release (early bird) drops exclusively for last years trip goers and current members! Early bird will sell out and while we try to grab more beds to get you guys out in resort with us, the only way to guarantee it is through being a member and getting access to early bird when it drops! Final places and waitlist will go on general release after the start of term so if you do miss out on early bird, get signed up then to give us the most time of getting you an extra place!

Training

We provide training for all levels and across all disciplines; whether beginners, intermediate, racers, freestylers, skiers or snowboarders!

Lesson and Training details for Semester One 26/27 will be announced shortly!

Membership of any tier is required to purchase lesson blocs.

An extra bonus is that our club does not interfere with BUCS Wednesdays so you can join even if you compete for another club and you won't be missing out on anything. You also don't need to purchase the sports facility membership which saves you costs while still being able to participate!

We have an absolutely stacked competition calendar for the upcoming year with 4 Championships, a race league and many exhibition events for everyone to get involved in no matter your prior level of competitive experience!

Championships

Scottish University Dryslope Championships (SUDS) 24/10 

The first taste of morning to night competition for the year! Infamous in the Scottish snowsports scene it brings a packed day of competition across multiple slopes with wall to wall action covering several disciplines as well as food, drink and djs to keep the vibes from spectators up before topping it off with a well earned apres in Glasgow!

British University Dryslope Championships (BUDS) 07/11 - 08/11

Following two Scottish only competitions, we put rivalries aside for our first trip south of the year, with BUDS taking us down to Stoke for the next edition to join up with the whole UK snowsports scene for a weekend of intense competition and good vibes with the widest set of disciplines of any competition on the calendar!

Scottish Alpine Student Championships (SASC) 12/03 - 14/03

To cheer up post trip blues we head to the Cairngorms and Aviemore for a weekend in March for the only university competition on snow of the year where its all about getting some turns in on real snow and making the most of Scotlands very own slopes!

British University Indoor Championships (BUIC) tbc

At the end of the year we head to one of the UK’s fridges (indoor artificial snow slope) to compete against other UK universities in one last championship counting towards our BUCS points tally! Having moved from regional qualifiers in Glasgow’s now closed Braehead to a straight weekend long shoot-out its all to play for in Manchester!

League Racing

We compete in the Scottish region of Kings League, attending four evenings of racing across the year. The format is knockout dual slalom racing making it great for both spectators and those newer to racing who want to get straight into the action with multiple teams able to enter! The first round is on the 3^rd of October and if after all four rounds we qualify as one of the best in Scotland, a place in the final awaits where we’ll be up against the other top performing teams from around the UK!

But wait, there’s more!

Between full scale production events like AJAM to head-to-head racedays with other unis there is always something to look forward to for those who just can’t get enough of the competitive buzz!

Socials

Come on, we’re a University snowsports club, you don’t need us to tell you who throws the best socials on campus! Between loose weekly Wednesday nights to Fridays at the Med if you’re just looking for a club to socialise and make some friends we absolutely have it sorted. If big hitting nights out aren’t your thing don’t worry! From inter-club sports to get involved in like football, running and hiking to group study sessions and movie nights we cover the lot so don’t hesitate in getting involved! As always for new members the best way is just to get stuck in with anything that takes your fancy and let the SUSS family take it from there!!
