Whether you fancy a snowsports holiday to one of the most recognised and biggest ski resorts in Europe, want to learn something new, or perhaps just attend some loose socials and make many awesome friends.
Stirling Snowsports is the club for you!
Training
We provide training for all levels; whether beginners, intermediate or racers.
Lessons and Race training this year.
Lessons- Subject to interest level for Spring 2024, we will be running lessons.
Race Training- This will be a Tuesday night 5:45pm-7:45pm and anyone who is a member, that can control their speed and turns is welcome to join. You do not need to have previous racing experience. It is really fun to try out and it will enable to you come to competitions such as SASC in March which you don't want to miss.
30/01/24, 06/02/24, 20/02/24 & 27/02/24 Racinig Training at Firpark 5:45-7:45pm - you must sign up through our race captain & have a membership.
This year there will be a cost towards lessons and training due to the increase in prices, the prices are cheaper and more accessible for us as students due to our group bookings comapred to private lessons outwith our group.
An extra bonus is that our club does not interfere with BUCS Wednesdays so you can join even if you have joined another club and you will not be missing out on anything. You also do not need to purchase the sports facility membership which saves you costs while still being able to join a club
BUDS
Every year we hit the slopes of Hillend, racing and freestyling for both ski and board. We represent our team at the largest Snowsports event in Britain and have a great time whilst doing so! This includes a day of racing followed by some crazzy socials involving many other big Universities from across the UK. This is great to get involved in even if you have never done any competitive snow sports before, there is no pressure and everyone has the best time!

This year we have a CRAZY social calendar planned with a social every fortnight. There will be themes, there will be ski shots, and you will be snowballing your way to Fubar's dance floors!

The Ski Trip
Arguably the most important event of the year, the infamous uni ski trip is the highlight of many students' time at university and we wholeheartedly agree with this! You do not have to be a member of Snowsports to attend our annual ski trip and anyone is able to come however, the benefit of becoming a member is that you will get a chance to meet many of the people going beforehand and form friendships prior to the trip. You will also be able to attend all of our sessions to help you prepare so we highly recommend signing up if you are keen to make the most of it! Again all info and updates regarding the trip will be posted online so keep an eye on the Instagram and Facebook so you don't miss out on a space. This is always a SELL OUT EVENT, rapid and we want as many peeople to enjoy the Alpes with us.
