About Us
SUFC is a well-established football club with a proud history and a thriving community of over 170 members. We field seven competitive teams that participate in Scottish and British University competitions, as well as senior and amateur leagues across Scotland and the UK.
For the 2025–26 season:

Our 1st, 2nd, and 4th teams compete on both Wednesdays and Saturdays

The 5th, 6th, and 7th teams play Wednesday matches only

Our 3rd team—also known as our Under-20s—play on Wednesdays and Friday nights

New for the 25/26 season, the club has introduced a Sunday League team. This team is open to all players and combines a range of abilities, aiming to get more students involved in the club.
Wednesdays are also our social nights, where our Social Secretary organises themed events and nights out, building strong connections off the pitch, which is a valued part of the club.
Our annual trial process takes place each September, offering all students a chance to join the club. The standard of football at the University is high, and as a result, competition for places is intense, requiring several rounds of trials before final squads are selected.
