Why you should join our SUDC family:

Stirling University Dance Club is a student run dance family meaning that all of our classes are delivered and taught by members of the university. We try our best to create a fun and friendly atmosphere whilst showing our love for dance.

SUDC delivers classes in a range of styles including hip hop, ballet, jazz, lyrical, tap, commercial, contemporary, musical theatre, beginners technique and strength and conditioning. We cater to all ability levels and encourage our members to try new styles! Don't worry if you have never danced before, our members will make sure you feel comfortable. Joining beginners classes is a great way of learning something new.

Prices:

• Annual membership cost: £70 
• Single semester membership cost: £40
• Sports union membership: £25 
• Sports Centre membership: a direct debit of £18.75 a month
• If you are looking to audition for our competition team there are extra fees which are discussed around the time of the auditions in October.

Annual show:

Each year we host a whole club show! 

This is where we showcase all the talent and hard work of every one of our amazing members. Our second semester of the year helps us work towards and prepare for the show. The show is a lot of fun and it is so rewarding to finally show all of your hard work on the stage. Each member will be offered the opportunity to dance in the show at no extra cost! They will also be provided with a video and pictures which will be taken at the performance free of charge. 

Our 2025 show date is the 19th April 2025. Watch this space for more show information including out big show name reveal. 

Timetable 2024:

Competitions:

All team members are encouraged to audition for our competition team, which will compete at least three times a year at various competitions across the UK. Our competition auditions are taking place on the 12th of October 2024 (these are completely optional, you do not have to be a part of the competition team to be part of the club). Competition season typically takes place during February and March. 

Our competition teams have won numerous awards in advanced and intermediate categories over all genres over the years. We are also extremely proud to announce that we have won the best team spirit award at the Silvercity competition 2 years in a row. 

This academic year Stirling University Dance Club is hosting their first-ever dance competition in the MacRoberts Art Centre on campus. We look forward to welcoming everyone along on the 1st March 2025. Watch this space for tickets and how to get involved.
