CSU - Stirling University Cheerleading
Whether you have years of cheer experience or are a complete beginner, CSU welcomes you!
Cheerleading is a combination of dance, jumps, tumbling and stunts, which are put together to form a routine. We then take these routines to compete around the country. Cheerleading has become a popular option at the university due to the unique nature of the sport and current media.
We have six competitive teams: Cheer levels 1 + 2, Pom, Hip-Hop, Jazz and Cheer Dance and our non-competitive Varsity team. Varsity is split into two sides, Performance and Sideline. Varsity Performance is ideal for those who would love to compete, but are maybe too nervous or would like more time to train, and they will perform twice at the end of the year. Sideline will learn a few dances throughout the year and perform at other sports club's halftimes and cheer from the side and is very beginner friendly!
The competition teams will be chosen in October. Therefore, we encourage everyone who is interested in getting involved from the beginning of the semester at our Give it a Go sessions. Don't be put off if you don't have experience, many of our competitive team members started off with no experience- simply turn up and enjoy yourself! If you have any questions about our club or how to join this year, please feel free to email our President, Haylegh (hap00125@students.stir.ac.uk)
To keep up to date with our events and what we're up to, please follow us on all our social media accounts!
We look forward to seeing you all!
