Steep & Sit is a new tea and coffee society. You turn up, there’s a hot cup waiting. That’s the whole thing.

We started it because meeting people at uni shouldn’t cost money or require you to be in the mood. We wanted somewhere that isn’t your flat and isn’t a lecture, where you don’t have to do anything to be there. Some weeks we’ve got a teabag and a kettle. Some weeks there’s proper loose leaf and we’ll brew it gongfu style (lots of tiny cups, ask and we’ll show you!) Some people chat, some people sit quietly with a brew. Come if you’re queer, disabled, neurodivergent, an international, first year or mature student, or if you just haven’t clicked with anyone yet.

We’ve just started up, so you’ll be one of the first through the door. The kettle’s always on (and we’ve got biscuits 😊 )
