Steep & Sit is a tea and coffee society. That's pretty much it. You join, you turn up, and there's a hot cup waiting for you. We started Steep & Sit because meeting friends at uni shouldn't need a pub, a budget or weekly social stamina, and because mental wellbeing thrives where pressure doesn't. It's a third place: somewhere that isn't home or class, where you don't have to be anyone or do anything in particular to be there.

There's a rotating selection of drinks, snacks and the kind of leaves tea nerds get excited about. Sometimes we brew gongfu style if you're curious, sometimes it's just a good old teabag and a kettle. Some people chat, some people sit quietly with their brew. Nobody's expecting you to be "on", and nobody's expecting you to stay.

There's space here for whoever you are: queer, disabled, neurodivergent, international, first-year, mature, or if you just haven't clicked with anyone yet.

Your membership covers free brewing all year, so come once or every week, and stay as long as you need. If you're interested, drop by whenever: the kettle's always on!
