Re-Enactment Society

Who we are

Stirling University Re-enactment Society is linked to Historia Normannis, a 12th century re-enactment group. We aim to recreate the lives of those in the 1100s in a fun way. We teach nalbinding (medieval knitting), leatherworking, chain maille, sewing, embroidery, and crochet. We also host medieval combat sessions where we spar using knives, axes, swords, clubs, and shields. Pop on over to our instagram to see examples of these!

We currently meet at 18:30 on Tuesday for craft, and 13:00 on Sundays for combat. Craft takes place in Cottrell room C. 2B84, and combat sessions take place on the field beside Airthrey Castle, so if you're late please feel free to join us there. If the weather is too bad and the field is unusable session may get cancelled and we'll go to the union to socialise instead.
