University Officer Training Corps (UOTC)

Who we are

Tuesday nights 19:00-21:00

As part of the University Officer Training Corps (UOTC) at Stirling we offer a unique opportunity for students to develop skills, travel, and make friends all while getting paid!

Along with UOTCs from Aberdeen, St Andrews and Dundee we form Aberdeen & Tayforth UOTC (ATOTR), we give members a chance to get to grips with basic military skills, adventure training, inter-university sports and socials. Whether you are looking to join the armed forces or not the UOTC is a great place to meet people and have fun!

Why you should join

  • Socialising: Exciting nights out, cheap drinks, ceilidhs and balls
  • Training: Weekends away teach basic military skills including navigation, first aid, radios and weapons handling
  • Sports: Inter-university sports competitions and opportunities to build your fitness with qualified personal trainers
  • Adventure Training: From hiking in Scotland to climbing in Italy we have lots of trips throughout the year
  • Pipes and Drums: Our pipe band regularly plays at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo and Basel Tattoo in Switzerland
  • Get paid for coming along!!

See what else we get up to on our instagram and feel free to send us a message.

We look forward to seeing you at freshers!

There is no commitment to join the military during or after university
