We never stop

Hi everyone, my is Lauren and I am in 2nd year at Stirling studying Sports Coaching and Development. Don't let the 2nd year part fool you as I do fall into that mature student age gap! Here i am again,  going in for my second round. Clearly can't get enough. I feel my job in this role isn't over yet and i can still contribute to more. One of my main aims last year was to approve the inclusiveness to disability students and give them a place to express themselves through sport. Along with our built in programmes such as wheelchair basketball, Boccia became a great starting point for our university to showcase its inclusiveness to the outside community. My next aim would be to introduce more sports like Blind Football and sitting Volleyball. I also want to build on Women in Sport, we have had a great number of girls joining over the past year and i would love to continue more. I will continue to push the sports centre into more womens only sessions and space in the gym to give women the confidence to feel they can go to the gym and workout in the same capacity as males. Not only that i will be looking to combine with sports with mixed genders to help promote this and also gives tasters into what their club can offer within their club. Vote me back in as your Sports participation and engagement officer because we never stop!
