Keeping your valuables safe

Working with the University, we pride ourselves on supporting and encouraging our students to thrive in a safe and supportive atmosphere.

The Safety, Environment, Security and Continuity Team is reminding all students and staff to keep alert and to not take the security of their valuables lightly, whilst on campus.

The team has three simple steps that will help keep your valuables safe and secure:

  • Never leave your property unattended whilst using any on campus communal or social spaces. Laptops and mobiles phones only take an opportunist thief a moment to steal when left unattended.
  • If you are using any of communal spaces with lockers, please put your property in a locker and secure it with a padlock or similar.
  • Where lockers have their own locking system, please make use of them and don’t leave items in an open locker.

For further crime prevention and security information, please visit the Safety, Environment, Security & Continuity web pages.
