Find out more about the motions discussed and voted on at the General Meeting.
The first General Meeting of the academic year took place on Thursday 5th October. It was great to see so many students attend both in-person and online to hear from the Officer team and discuss and vote on a number of motions.
To read more about the work of the Officers, check out the agenda and papers which outline some of the work they have been doing so far this year.
Here are the motions discussed and voted on:

This motion ensures that the Students' Union supports the First Responder GBV Awareness training and that at least one committee member from every Sports Club and Society must complete this training for accreditation.
Commitment to Fighting the Housing Crisis - Passed 100% in Favour
This motion asks the Students' Union to work with local campaigns committed to fighting the housing crisis, as well as update the resources on our website. This motion mandates the Sabbatical Officers to consult with students through social media and/or email before relevant meetings relating to the Cost of Living Crisis. Outcomes and where possible, minutes, should also be shared following the meetings.
