Many thanks to all staff and students who attended the Brexit Info Café on Friday 1st November 2019, hosted by your International Officer, Marie Stadtler and your Union. Marie’s vision was to provide a safe, comforting and informative opportunity for students and staff to talk and ask questions about Brexit, over a cuppa! Despite the Brexit deadline being extended after the original Halloween date, we thought it was still important to go ahead with the event and around 40 people came together to get some info about Brexit and support one another. Stirling and Clackmannanshire Citizens Advice Bureau attended on the day to provide support and advice and Gurjit Pall from Thorntons Solicitors were also on hand for drop in sessions and to provide legal advice.

Massive thanks to the University and Gurjit Pall for providing the lawyer sessions, CAB for coming along and Janet Foggie (Pioneer Minister from Student Support Services) for providing funding for the drinks and snacks!

Couldn’t make it along on the day?  Don’t worry Gurjit’s PowerPoint can be accessed here and you’ll find important contact details and up to date Brexit info here!  We will continue to update you on updates and developments on Brexit and how this will affect you.
