Students' Union President

Hey! My name is Ellie Hammond and I'm your 2026/27 Students' Union President - I'm so excited to meet you! I'm originally from Strathaven, in South Lanarkshire, and came to Stirling almost six years ago now to complete my Undergraduate degree in English and Film & Media. I was very heavily involved in various societies and the student movement whilst studying here, so it's a real honour to be your Student President for this year. I was also the 2025/26 Vice President of Communities! 

As Union President, I work with the team on a variety of projects related to your education and student experience at the University of Stirling. I'm the overall representative, spokesperson, and ambassador of the Union to the University, the Media, Government, and External Agencies. I also lead on our work in relation to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion, as well as holding responsibility for the overall political direction of the Students' Union. I am here to support students, develop equality campaigns, and guide the Students' Union.
