About Us
SUFC are an extremely well established club, with over 100 members making up 7 teams who compete in Scottish and British University competitions and in senior and amateur leagues across Scotland and the rest of the UK.
This year (2023-24) Our 1's, 2's, 3's play a Wednesday and Saturday, our 4's 5's 6's play just Wednesdays and our U20's play Wednesdays & Friday nights.
Wednesday nights are considered 'social nights' for our football team in which our social secretary's plan different themes for a night out.
The trial process takes place in September of each year giving everyone an opportunity to try out for the club. The standard of football at the University is high and therefore competition for places is very competitive; meaning there are several rounds of trials before the squads are finalised.
The students benefit from world-class facilities on the University campus, which are currently being upgraded, including seven grass pitches, two artificial pitches and a state-of-the-art fitness centre.
The University also offers talented players the opportunity to combine their study with high performance football through a scholarship programme.
