As Your Students’ Union, representation is at the very core of all our work. From your Sabbatical Officers working to represent your interests across the University, to your Faculty and Executive Officers taking forward projects and campaigns designed to make a difference to your time at Stirling.

We’re there to help project the student voice further, helping improve the student experience by tackling the issues that matter to you.Your Sabbatical and Executive Officers are elected each year in our Annual Spring Elections, there’s twenty positions up for grabs so if you feel you could make a difference then why not stand?

Our Student Advocacy and Guidance Service also exists to provide you with access to independent, confidential information, support and guidance. So if you ever experience difficulty during your time at Stirling get in touch, as there may be something we can do for you. There’s plenty of opportunities to get involved in our representation work, whether you’re running to be the next Union President in our elections or you’re looking to improve the student experience by representing your class to the University as a module rep.

If you think there’s something we should be tackling then get in touch! You can drop us an email at theunion@stir.ac.uk or pop by the office to speak with one of your sabbatical officers.

Student Voice: submit your ideas logo design

Student voice is at the core of everything your Union does, so we want to hear from you! You told us you wanted a space to submit your ideas in a quick and easy way, passing a motion to have a Quickfire policy space for you to submit your ideas and opinions, so we developed a space for you to do just this!

Any student can submit an idea or issue to be discussed.

  1. First log in to the Union website (button at the top!)
  2. Once logged in submit your idea using the portal below.
  3. Once submitted, it is then sent to the Union for approval and it will then be posted here for all students to see, comment on and vote on.
  4. If the idea is given 60 or more Up votes by students during the first 48 hours it is live on the website, it will be brought to the Executive Council (all your elected Student Officers) to be discussed and commented on.

Got an idea or issue you think is really important you think the Union should be discussing? Submit it here!
