This year has been fantastic for sustainability at Stirling SU, with the Union receiving the Excellent Award for their Green Impact Students Union audit, alongside both the GISU Choice Special Award and the Highest Scoring Runner-up Special Award. Recognition from the GISU Team

The SOS-UK (Students Organising for Sustainability UK) auditor commented: "I was really blown away by how much great sustainability work Stirling SU are doing, and in particular the amazing work of their Sustainability Coordinator and how the wider SU and student officer team have supported amazing student and society led change this year! They had so many impressive projects, and went above and beyond on many topics, especially in biodiversity, food, housing and ethical careers policy! Their Green & Blue Space is very unique and really feels like sustainability is at the forefront of their engagement!"

This Year's Highlights

The Green & Blue Space became Scotland's first Green Office, while our Community Food Initiative collected upwards of 19 tonnes of food, redistributed 45,000 meals, and put around £135,000 back in students' pockets while saving over 70 tonnes of CO2e.
