Many of you may have seen the University email sent out to all staff and students, announcing that after 16 years of leadership, the Principal and Vice-Chancellor will be retiring.

As your Sabbatical Officers, we work closely with university senior managers, including the Principal and Vice-Chancellor. We would like to express our thanks to the Principal and Vice-Chancellor for his dedication to the University over the last 16 years and, in particular, wish Sir Gerry McCormac a happy retirement.

We look forward to being part of the recruitment for a new Principal and to the next chapter for the University.
