Did you know we have a community garden? It's pretty sweet.

Run by students the garden is a hub of veggies, fruit, flowers, pond-life and so much more. Find out about everything we do for our planet here.

We're offering new students the chance to come and visit the garden and try your hand at a bit of vegetable  planting, tree planting and various other bits and bobs. Don't forget gardening isn't just about digging and weeding, it's about getting outside, keeping fit and most of all making friends! 

The garden sessions are a collaborative project between Janet Foggie, Chaplain, and our Environmental Coordinator Johannes Schamp. If you are interested in coming along to a session please email johannes.schamp@stir.ac.uk as if you turn up there may not be space! 

There will be two gardening sessions during the welcome period, Tues 15th Sept 3pm - 5pm and Mon 21st Sept 3pm - 5pm. 

The garden is located on campus, past Airthrey Castle and just before you get to the Alexander Court accommodation 

Safety advice: This event will be managed with a socially distanced queue (if numbers require it) and a limited numbers inside the garden space with social distancing in place. We recommend wearing your mask whilst in the garden and in the queue. Hand sanitiser will be provided and any tools used will be santised between use. Find out more about the University's Campus Pledge to keep yourself and others safe here.
