I am running for re-election as the Sports Union Participation & Engagement Officer! I have thoroughly enjoyed my time over the past year in this role, and hope to continue serving the sports union and the student body in this capacity.

This year, I was awarded funding to host the Stirling Olympics; due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was postponed, however I anticipate hosting the week-long event early in the 2021/22 academic year. The event planned to encompass a range of traditional Olympic sports as well as fun and friendly competition, encouraging engagement from the student body with the Tokyo Olympics of 2020. Stirlympics 2021- we’ll see you soon!

On top of Stirlympics, I will prioritise restarting and redesigning the Social Club, and promoting fun and exciting sports engagement across the student body. The Social Club was put on hold for 2020/21, but a planned return for next semester means a bigger and better Social Club than ever before! Dodgeball tournaments, Cardio Tennis, Capture The Flag, yoga and 5-a-side hockey- whatever takes your fancy, we’ll have!

I will continue to engage with the Healthy Body, Healthy Mind campaign, promoting mental wellbeing in sports in partnership with the Wellbeing Officer and Sports President, as well as supporting clubs and their return to play in the forthcoming year.

I hope to see you again in Autumn 2021- you know it’s #anotherfanTASHticchoice
