Important information to note before making purchases 

  • Societies cannot access their finances until their 3 core committee members (president, secretary, treasurer) have purchased memberships.  
  • You must check your society account balance before making any purchases to ensure you have sufficient funds. 
  • Finance requests must be submitted within 60 days of purchase.
  • Receipts must be itemised, showing what has been purchased. 
  • Alcohol cannot be reimbursed.

Grants you can apply for

The Society Grant

 

The Society Grant is opens in the Autumn semester. It is open throughout the academic year, with the final deadline of the academic year being the 31st of March.

You will be invited to present your project to your elected Societies Executive Committee (SEC) who will then vote on your funding application.

If you need any assistance completing the form, please contact the Activities Coordinator for help.

Please complete the application form which you may download below, and review the conditions included in the form. You will then submit it to the SEC. 

Submit your grant applications to the SEC by one of the following dates*:

  • 04/10/26
  • 15/11/26
  • 07/02/27
  • 28/03/27

*Note that these dates are tentative and subject to change. 

All grants awarded must be spent by 22 May.

Autumn Semester

External Funds

In the meantime, there may be other University, local, national or even international funding streams that you can apply to so keep exploring your options and get in touch if you need assistance with an application. We can also check over and reference applications for you to increase your chance of success!
