Period Poverty Data Analysis intern
The Students' Union is currently seeking an intern to conduct data analysis and administration for the Scottish Government funded ’Period Poverty Project’. A key part of this role will be to analyse the survey/product distribution data of the current product lineup in order for the Project Group to assess the best way to ensure student access. The successful candidate will also be expected to compile a report of the data gathered as well as disseminating the information gathered to key contacts both internally and externally.

Candidates must be a student at the University of Stirling for the duration of the role.

Student Trustee (1 position)
The University of Stirling Students’ Union is an Unincorporated Association and a Scottish Charity. The Board of Trustees is collectively responsible for setting the vision and values of the organisation and for the development of a long-term strategy and to approve and monitor plans to deliver on the strategy. We are currently looking for a student Trustee for the Board. 

Student Trustees will hold office for one calendar year. With the agreement of the Trustee Board, they may be re-appointed for a further year.

Candidates for this role are required to be fully matriculated students of the University of Stirling for the duration of the role. Student Trustees should be ordinary members of the Students’ Union and not hold any other Officer role and/or position of employment with the Union during their tenure as a Trustee.

Chair of Trustee Board
The Students’ Union exists to represent students and works in partnership with the University to provide academic support and co-curricular activities for over 11,000 students. We offer a range of representational, developmental and recreational opportunities with the aim of becoming a leading example of best practice within the student community. The Chair of the Trustee Board works to ensure the Students’ Union is financially secure, has a strong strategic plan in place with its targets being achieved and ensuring the Students’ Union is complying with its Constitution, Charity Law and relevant legislation.

This is both a challenging and exciting time for the Students’ Union as we adjust our services to meet the changing needs of students in response to the global pandemic. The Board works with the elected student officers and senior management to direct and oversee the Students’ Union. Trustees play a valuable part in shaping the strategic direction for our Union, including seeking opportunities to diversify our funding model. We welcome applications with a broad range of experience including financial, marketing, commercial, legal, political, sports development, environmental and strategic development.

The Chair of the Trustee Board (a non-student role) is required to prepare for, attend and Chair 4 Trustee Board meetings per year. In addition, each external Trustee chairs one sub-committee of the Board. In the case of this Trustee appointment, we are looking for applicants also willing to chair the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Steering Group, which is an additional commitment of 4 meetings per year. Currently the Board and its sub-committees are meeting remotely.

Please note this Trustee position is voluntary with expenses reimbursed.
