United Nations Association Stirling is back from its hiatus!
UNAS works to advance Stirling's engagement with the UN's values, work and goals, and the Sustainable Development Goals. At UNAS, all students can participate in exclusive events, webinars, seminars, and workshops from UNAS UK, UNAS Scotland and UN Women. If you're interested in human rights, politics, the SDGs, NGOs and activism, UNAS is the society for you!
We arrange all kinds of events and projects, and students are welcome to pursue or invent any project or event of their own interest. Since UNAS is just returning from its break, there is no set agenda or projects. Therefore all new members can participate in brainstorming what the society should do next, and choose the types of projects they would like the society to do!
UNAS UK is a nationwide association that monitors and boosts grassroots engagement of organisations and civil society with the UN. With direct links to the UN, UNAS offers members access to UN-affiliated training, events, advocacy programs and campaigns, as well as interesting seminars and lectures. Branches of the UN like Stirling continue this mission but on the local level.
