Weekly dance classes
We collaborate with three dance instructors to host Latin dance classes on campus every Tuesday during the semester.
Schedule as of September 2023 (might vary on specific days):
Tuesdays 19.00 to 20.00 Bachata class
Tuesdays 20.00 to 21.00 Salsa class
How to sign up?
Step 1 - purchase your society membership through the Stirling Students’ Union website or in the Union offices on campus.
Step 2 - between the 1st and 10th of each month, sign up online for the lessons. You can sign up for salsa & bachata, only salsa or only bachata lessons.

One week only - To join us for one week only, it is £5 for 1 class and £7 for 2 classes. Please bring the exact amount in cash or pay through: https://stirling.native.fm/event/latin-dance-one-day-of-lessons/220180.
To try the Latin dance lessons for free, join us at our Give-It-A-Go's (GIAGs) at the start of every semester. Next GIAG: Tuesday 30th January 2024 at 19.00 in the Venue (Students' Union, downstairs).
Who can join the Latin Dance Society?
We welcome dancers of all abilities, including absolute beginners :D Wear comfortable clothes, and come on your own or bring a friend (bringing a dance partner is not required). Regardless of their gender, dancers are encouraged and free to choose whether they'd like to dance as a lead or a follower.
About the Latin Dance Society
Our society brings people together through social dance and music. Cuban salsa, originally called Casino and born when merging Afro-Cuban rhythms, has been fundamental at the society since before the COVID-19 pandemic. We offer Bachata classes since 2022 and Kizomba workshops since 2023, as many dance events will play all salsa, bachata and kizomba music. Once you acquire the skills of leading or following, you can go to dance congresses and connect with people anywhere in the world! See you in our dance lessons, or join us for a social or party in or outside Stirling.
