Complete beginner? Competitive Racer? Or perhaps you view yourself as a bit of a thrill seeker?

We have a solution!

Whether you fancy a cheap snowsports holiday to one of the most recognised and biggest ski resorts in Europe, want to learn something new, or perhaps just attend some loose socials and make many awesome friends.

Stirling Snowsports is the club for you!

Our Give It A Go is scheduled for Tuesday the 20th September from 6-8pm. Sign up will be available on our social media platforms or when you attend the Sports Fayre. Drop us a message if you have any questions.

As the year progresses, lessons and kit will be provided, all you need to do is show up with gloves and a long sleeve tee shirt!

We can't wait to see you at our GIAG!

Training

We provide training for all levels; whether beginners, intermediate or racers.

Lessons and Race training will both take place on Tuesdays one after the other this year.

Lessons- These will run almost every week from 6-7 pm and cater to all different levels of people looking to improve their skills.

Race Training- This will follow after lessons from 7-8 pm and anyone is welcome to join. You do not need to have previous racing experience. It is really fun to try out and it will enable to you come to competitions such as BUDS which you don't want to miss. As a bonus, we are hoping to attend a few sessions at Hillend ski slope in Edinburgh in preparation for BUDS.

All lessons and training will be included in your membership fee! (Excluding trips away such as Hillend where there may be a small fee to cover costs of transport and instruction).

An extra bonus is that our club does not interfere with BUCS Wednesdays so you can join even if you have joined another club and you will not be missing out on anything. You also do not need to purchase the sports facility membership which saves you costs while still being able to join a club

BUDS

Every year we hit the slopes of Hillend, racing and freestyling for both ski and board. We represent our team at the largest Snowsports event in Britain and have a great time whilst doing so! This includes a day of racing followed by some crazzy socials involving many other big Universities from across the UK. This is great to get involved in even if you have never done any competitive snow sports before, there is no pressure and everyone has the best time!

Socials

This year we have a CRAZY social calendar planned with a social every fortnight. There will be themes, there will be ski shots, and you will be snowballing your way to Fubar's dance floors!

Our first social is on expected to be on Wednesday 21st of September, so make sure to come along for all things snowy and meet everyone in the club.

Be sure to follow us on Facebook for any upcoming SUSSy antics! Alternatively you may follow us on Instagram where we post regular updates and lots of fun content on our stories (@StirlingSnowsports).

The Ski Trip

Arguably the most important event of the year, the infamous uni ski trip is the highlight of many students' time at university and we wholeheartedly agree with this! You do not have to be a member of Snowsports to attend our annual ski trip and anyone is able to come however, the benefit of becoming a member is that you will get a chance to meet many of the people going beforehand and form friendships prior to the trip. You will also be able to attend all of our sessions to help you prepare so we highly recommend signing up if you are keen to make the most of it! Again all info and updates regarding the trip will be posted online so keep an eye on the Instagram and Facebook so you don't miss out on a space

If you have any questions or queries please don’t hesitate to contact us at stirling.snowsports@gmail.com or message us on facebook or insta!
