Stirling University Netball Club (SUNC) is the largest club in our Sports Union and we welcome players of all ability. We have 4 teams which compete in BUCS matches against other universities in their respective leagues, taking place on a Saturday. We have a fifth competitive team who play in the Central Netball Association (CNA) league against other local teams within the area. This allows our players to compete in a more casual way.

Our social team is by far the largest compared to any other sports team at the university, where girls come along to train once a week, play in friendly matches against other universities, and in general have fun whilst playing netball. Our social team is designed to reach people who perhaps enjoy the sport but aren't looking to take part in the competitve side, and we are proud to say we have well over 100 girls who enjoy playing socially. This means that players from all skill levels can take part and learn/improve their play with various opportunity for progression.

Training Times

Unfortunately, due to covid restrictions our usual training times are unable to be fulfilled. However, we have adapted our sessions and training times to ensure all guidelines are met and our members are kept safe. The safety and wellbeing of our members is our main priority. Our training times are currently subject to change, so please contact us directly for the most up to date training times.

The club also hosts regular social events outside of training which is a great way to socialise and meet new people at Stirling University. We try to get involved as much as possible whether that be charity work, hosting events, supporting other sport teams or getting involved within the local community. We have opportunity to develop your skills through umpiring and coaching courses, as well as taking leadership roles within the club as captain of your team or being part of our fabulous committee. Whatever your experience with netball, you're guaranteed to get the most out of your University experience and make friends for life here at SUNC!

If you would be interested in joining the club don't hestitate to get in touch via social media, or contact our Club President - Caitlin McGee on You are welcome all year round, regardless of ability or year of study!
