Hello, everyone!

Our nominations for the new committee are:
- Azahara for Society President
- Beatriz for Secretary and Social Media Coordinator
- Paul for Treasurer.

Don't forget to come to our classes today (30th March), starting at 6 pm in the Venue (Underground), where our nominees will introduce themselves and society members can vote after. If you cannot make it to the classes today, you can also send your vote to Michela after classes.

Please remember that voting will be open until Friday, April 1st 2022, and your new committee will be announced on Monday!

Azahara:
Hello, all! I am Azahara (she/her) and I am running for president because I am very passionate about latin dancing, and I want to help keep this society running during the next academic year!
It's been amazing to meet people who enjoy dancing from so many different places at the society, and it's certainly more fun to go dancing with people you already know. I want t make sure that we keep organising and running weekly dance lessons and encourage anyone who's interested in salsa & bachata dancing to give it a try.
I would love to have your vote on the 30th March (until 1st April) at the society elections.

Beatriz:
Hello, everyone! My name is Beatriz (she/her) and I am running to remain the Secretary and Social Media Coordinator of the Latin Dance Society!
I joined the Society in first year, so I was happy to see it running again after an almost 2-year break because of the pandemic.
So far, I have been communicating with the Union, booking venues, keeping you updated about the Society and designing my own posts to make sure our Society looks amazing on social media!
I would like to be part of the committee, organise more socials and continue to see you all next semester (and maybe work on a new logo for next semester?).
I hope to get your vote by April 1st!

Paul:
Hi, I'm Paul and I'm running to be the Treasurer of the club.
I started Salsa and Bachata this year through the society and have never looked back!
Dancing 3 or 4 times a week here in Stirling and back home in Glasgow. I've also informally helped with getting some of our members to socials and events in Glasgow, so I've not exactly been a "quiet member"!
As well as looking after the finances (and possibly organising some fundraising to do more things), I'd like to continue more finally what I've been doing this year and getting people as active as possible and out there social dancing. And try and help the club grow and expand in any way I can (And get more 'leads' to the club!)
