Freshers 2021: Alpacas on Campus!

Thursday 16 September 2021 noon - 3pm

Union, outside

The fluffy boys are back. We love to give you fun experiences during your first week at University and the alpacas always bring a huge crowd.

Alpacas are gentle animals by nature, with hypoallergenic fur, and are quite happy to graze the grass while you take pictures and give them a pet. They are accompanied by their experienced handlers who love and care for the animals at their farm on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

Safety advice: We ask that you wear a mask whilst inside the event space and hand sanitiser will be provided. If there are further safety precautions they will be clearly advertised here and around the event space.

*All Union events are subject to change or cancellation and we continue to work closely with the University of Stirling and Scottish Government advice to ensure everything we do is safe for our students. Some events are also weather-dependent and may be cancelled or changed last minute. We will communicate any changes on this website and our social media channels.

To ensure everyone's safety, we've implemented slot booking for this event. Below you can book one of three slots. One slot = 2 people can attend, but they must both be University of Stirling Students and ID cards will be required. Please bring your ticket confirmation email along, this may go into your spam folder. Tickets are FREE. If you try to book yourself onto more than one slot, you will be removed from both.

Your slot is between either 12-1pm, 1-2pm or 2-3pm. We encourage you to arrive at the start of your slot. If you arrive after your slot, you may not get entry to the event and miss out.

THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED. Don't panic, the alpacas visit campus regularly so they'll be back!
