Emergency General Meeting for the Language Exchange Society: Wednesday 9 November 2022, 5:15pm to 6pm. Online on MS Teams

  • Language Exchange Society Associate Membership£5.00
  • Language Exchange Society Standard Membership£5.00

The Language Exchange Society is a welcoming space that aims to bring together language learners from all nationalities at the University of Stirling. We want students to have the opportunity to learn a new language outside of their degree programme. We encourage you to attend our free online and face-to-face events organised by students who are sharing their mother tongue or the language that they are learning and help us build an inclusive and enthusiastic language learning community.
To make up for a lack of evening language courses at the uni, in 2021 we founded our society and created a Microsoft Teams page that is accessible to all students, members of staff and the local community. Since then, we've grown our team and at the Clubs & Societies Awards 2022 we won the Best Publicity and the Club of Culture awards, and received an honourable mention for both Club of the Year and Biggest Contribution to the Student Body. We couldn't be happier!
Our team
Our committee is mainly made up of international students. If you want to contribute to this society and share your language, email us at If you want to become a member who enjoys voting rights in the Language Exchange Society, purchase your membership for £5 through the Students Union website!

  • Operations Officer: implementation of projects such as socialising events or other collaborations, working alongside Public Relations Officer.
  • Equalities Officer
  • Podcast Officer
