The University of Stirling Students’ Union is constituted by the University of Stirling’s Royal Charter (14th December 1967) and is a registered charity in accordance with the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005. As such the organisation is governed by a number of key documents in order to ensure effective delivery of its core purpose, which are provided below.

Process for Submitting a Motion:

All students can submit a motion to a Union General Meeting or Zone Meeting. If the meeting is quorate, and if the motion passes, the motion becomes Union Policy.  If you wish to submit a motion, please ensure you use this template - Motion Template. Motions must be submitted to Rosamund or the Union President by 5pm five working days prior to the meeting. Amendments to motions must be submitted by 5pm three working days prior to the meeting. If you have any questions or need help putting the motion together, please email rosamund.vickers@stir.ac.uk
