How to Join the SU
There are a number of ways you can join the Sports Union!
1. The fastest and most convenient way to purchase your SU membership is online*. Simply Login on your Portal on the University website and click on the 'Studying at Stirling' menu tab and then on 'Sports Union membership'. You will need a credit/debit card to make the payment. Click on the link at the top of the page to access the step by step tutorial. Once the payment has been processed you will be able to collect your SU card at the Students' Union office between 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.
2. Alternatively you will be able to make your payment at Fresher’s and Re-Fresher’s Fayre at the start of each semester. Simply bring your student card along, to confirm you are a Stirling University student. Methods of payment accepted are cash and cheque (made payable to "University of Stirling Students' Union"). Once the payment is processed you will be able to pick up your SU Card later in the Students Union office. The office is open from 9-5 Monday to Friday.
Should you be unable to purchase your SU membership through the above options, please come to the Students Union office and we'll be able to help you!
Once you are a member of the Sports Union you will be able to join any of our amazing sports clubs and to enjoy great promotions in our bars throughout the year, showing your SU card!

* Non-students are very welcome to join the SU, however will not be able to make a payment online as this requires a login account on the University portal. Membership fees vary for non-students, please contact the Sports Union Administrator at g.e.parry@stir.ac.uk for full details.
How to Join a Club
You should know that we are now able to offer an online membership payment system, which will hopefully prove to be a very efficient and hassle-free procedure.
All you will require to make your online payment is a University portal Login account and a valid credit or debit card*. Please click on the following link on the top of the page for a step by step tutorial of the online payment system.
If you are for any reason unable to make an online payment you will be pleased to know this not the only way to join a club. You can still make your membership payment to the club treasurer or president who will then process it. However, unless you are unable to, we strongly encourage you to make a payment using the online system.
Please be aware that you will be required to join the Sports Union before joining any of our clubs.
Please note that once you have joined a club that utilises the Sports facilities at the University of Stirling you will be liable to pay the annual gym membership fee, regardless of the frequency of your participation in club activities/training. Members of the following clubs are exempt from such requirement (unless they are also members of non-exempt clubs):
Mountaineering
Snowsports
Polo
Skydiving
Equestrian
Boat Club
* Please Note: Non-students will not be able to access the online payment service, as this requires the use of the University portal login-in system. Please visit our Club contacts page and get in touch with the Club President to arrange payment or contact Gillian Parry g.e.parry@stir.ac.uk
