Stirling University Men's Rugby Club are raising funds.
On the 13th September, in the first league game of Stirling University Rugby Football Club's season, one of their team mates and our students, Connor Hughes, sustained a life changing injury on the rugby field, with damage to his C5-C6 vertebrate leaving him Quadriplegic with no sensation from the shoulders down.
A website has been set up with the details of how to donate and what events are running to support Connor. The Rugby team are asking if you could take a couple minutes to have a read and donate. It would be greatly appreciated. They are currently selling Stand Tall wristbands for £2 to raise money, please contact the club president for more information - jackhardie@sky.com
As a student community, I hope that we can support our student colleague and the club who are working so hard to support him.
I'm incredibly proud of the support which other Stirling Sports Teams are giving and it's fantastic to see our teams coming together over this.
If you want to get involved, you can join us at the Sports Union Quiz on Nov 12th where all proceeds will go towards this cause. Please click the links below for more information and to donate. We will be sure to keep students updated about any additions to this campaign.
