I’m Chris Baxter and I’m asking you to elect me as SUSA Vice President (Welfare and Education). I’m a second year International Management Studies student and I have been a Returning Undergraduate Rep on SUSA council since October. I’m a founding member and treasurer of the Celtic Music Society, ‘Best New Club’ 2004. Introduce a ‘Buddy’ system for First Year students
Advice and Support Centre even more visible than ever
The creation of a Liberation Officers committee, chaired by the Equal Opportunities Officer
Raise the profile of the liberation campaigns within the Sports Union
Full and continued support of the Equal Opportunities Policy
Twice weekly drop in hours to discuss any concerns
Make the SUSA office a ‘One-Stop-Shop’
Promote and improve welfare support already available
Offer more than one Senate per academic year
Make SUSA Council and Executive meetings more welcoming and accommodating to observers
Encourage more students to take advantage of clubs and societies
Offer students the chance of an education that goes beyond their academic studies
