o Make students the University’s first concern
o Increase use of course representatives
o Extensive training and support for course representatives all year long
o Capitalise on the facilities departments offer
o Learner friendly lectures and lecturers
o Provide a SUSA study lounge
o Campaigning on current student issues:
- Alcohol awareness,
- Health: physical; sexual; psychological
- Stress
-Learning abilities and strategies
o A new sub-committee open to any student dealing with the running of the welfare services including campaigning and publicity; getting more students involved; improving student accessibility
o Improve Nightline and ASC: more volunteers, increased standard, speed and quantity of training
o A better relationship between SUSA and other welfare services on campus
o A safer Union and campus
o More volunteering opportunities, more support for clubs and societies
o Protected autonomy of liberation campaigns
o Uncompromised adherence to the Equal Opp’s Policy
o Increase SUSA’s inclusiveness of highlands and islands
o Active and purposeful engagement with the student body
o An accountable Union: use of online diary; question and answer sessions; idea sessions
o A friendly, open door, confidential and non-judgemental service
