What is the Finance Committee?
The Finance Committee acts as Union's financial 'board' and is where all the major financial and business decisons are made.
From the prices of drinks in The Robbins to how much we spend on Freshers' Week, all major expenditure but also strategy and planning goes through this body. Plus it is where all of the Union's (including the Sports Union's and Robbins') budgets get approved and monitored. Finally it is also where all staffing, employment, legal, and licencing issues get brought to.
It is made up of all of the Students' Union Executive plus 3 members from the Union Council. The Union's General Manager and Finance Administrator also attend, plus an observer from the University.
