What is the Union Executive Committee?
The Executive Committee is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day governing of the Students' Union.
It is where all the policy from Council, referenda or Senate are enacted and any other time-sensitive issues affecting the Association can be resolved too. It is also the body which provides the student members and outside world with a window into how the Union is governed and to hold the Associtaion's senior officers to account.
Although anyone is free to attend and observe, only the elected Union Executive officers sit on the Executive Committee. The members of the Executive Committee are also the legal trustees of the Association and are therefore ultimately responsible for everything the Union does.
Union Exec also by far meets the most frequently, normally every week. If you wish to attend as an observer then get in contact with the Union President at president.union@stir.ac.uk.
