MY RECORD AS YOUR PRESIDENT THIS YEAR:

Bought in an extra £74,000 of funding from the University, making SUSA secure for the future.
Got SUSA’s funding increased by £45,000 for next year.
Gave the Sports Union an extra £20,000 for your clubs.
Won a University rent freeze, just like we promised.
Won a 24 hour library for your exam period this year, so you can study when it’s best for you.
Ran the largest student feedback survey in our history.
Sucessfully lobbied political parties so they adopt student issues on the drinking age and student income.

WHAT I WOULD DO NEXT YEAR:

Give whoever is elected Sports Union President another £20,000 to spend on clubs.
Give you the power to name & shame the bad landlords, so every student knows who to avoid when flat-hunting.
Help you ride out the recession & get a great graduate job by running careers fairs & offering expert CV advice.
Make sure when the library project really gets going next year, you still have the study space & resources you need.
Help improve the student facilities for the highland campuses by giving their students reps £2000 to spend.
Work to lower the costs of club transport & open up more funding for equipment & training, making clubs better.
Stay 100% accountable through blogging, more open meetings, more surveys & extra consultation.
