Anna Meldrum
Armed only with a guitar, a microphone and a bunch of quirky lyrics, Anna Meldrum took to the stage at Transmission. Distinguishable by her freckles and funky sense of fashion, Anna delivered a collection of acoustic pop gems that were both catchy and witty. Before performing "Birdseed" Anna explained that it was written after seeing a girl so skinny, she must have had a staple diet of birdseed. "Marigolds" and "Catalytic Converter" also provided more moments of light-hearted wit. Anna Meldrum's performance combined great song-writing with good humour and charm that made it impossible not to enjoy the show.
